On the very last day before the holidays the children had a great time designing and making their playground equipment. They were looking forward to bringing them home but the weather had other ideas! They will be coming home very soon!

Gingerbread recipe
Our Gingerbread Men are proving very popular with the children who have already made them. In case you want to have a go at home here is a link to the recipe.
Book Talk!
We have a new display in our book corner that we are slowly building up. Children are choosing a book they have really enjoyed from our class library and recommending it to their friends. Here are our first three recommended reads!
Bling up your bike or scooter day!
Well done to the children who took part in our parade on Friday!
Gingerbread men
Each week six lucky children head off to our lovely food tech room! This term we are making Gingerbread men. They smelt delicious!
Ignore the unseasonal aprons!
Mini den building
Today we enjoyed the sunshine and had a go at building mini dens for some little furry friends!
Hedgehogs!
This half term our science is all about the weather. We have thought about how it impacts on humans and animals. Hedgehogs are one of the animals that hibernate when it gets colder. We had a go at making our very own ones!
Virtual Library
Our big question this term is “How does being outside make me feel good?”
This virtual library contains books that are linked to this area of learning and the children will really enjoy discovering them. To link to a video of the book being read just click on the image, sit back and enjoy! I will also create a menu tab with the PDF on so that the library is always easy to find!
Not a stick!
This week the children enjoyed the book Not a Stick and turned theirs into magical wands! I can’t wait to see what spells they cast!
First Week Back!
What a great week we had but it was super hot! The children enjoyed our literacy text Not a Box and had fun playing with boxes and using their imaginations! We had some great ideas – a tree house, a motor car, a cat bed and even a flying horse with princesses on! In maths we have been thinking about numbers to 10 and different ways to represent them. Our Friday PE session was fun and we enjoyed playing lots of different games with tennis balls and cones. I’m already looking forward to this week especially the cooler weather!
Scan this QR code to play the caterpillar game which will help with this weeks maths – select numbers to 10 on the options menu.
