We had a fantastic trip this morning led by Miles King from People Need Nature. The children found out all about Buttercups and collected seeds from Poundbury Hill Fort and then scattered them on The Great Field. This time next year there should be lots more buttercups around!

Sea Life Trip!
What a glorius day we had on our trip last week! The children were so well behaved and we were very proud of them all. Well done Grayling 1!
Concentric circles and spirals
In Art this half term we are focusing on concentric circles and spirals. We have drawn them in different media and last week the children created them in playdough This week we have used salt dough (pictures to come once they are dry). This is all building up towards a large scale collaborative piece of work using pebbles and sand.
This lovely piece of art work was inspired by the artist Kandinsky!
Baking
The children have enjoyed making Soda Bread – it smelt delicious!
Welly Walk
The children had a great time on this week’s Welly Walk. We were thinking about what Poundbury is like and how some of the buildings are similar to famous London Landmarks! We also popped into the Garden Centre to add our handprints to a big tree that will be on display there.
